| ++ Too Busy to Think |
I just can't even stop long enough to think about anything these days. A lot has been going on in the past three weeks but for some reason I just couldn't find the time to write about it all. I'm going to try my best to cover it all in this entry, so it may be a little long. Sorry to anyone who hates long entries. Alright first off, Landon and his colic… I thought I had seen the end of it… No such luck. Though I admit that it has calmed down significantly, It’s still there. So Last week, in attempt to try once again to get rid of it I went shopping for yet ANOTHER remedy. This stuff was called INFACOL, and it worked for the first few days. An then came the constipation… Frigin’ stuff plugged him up real good the poor sweetheart. So after 4 days of no number 2’s I decided to give TELE-CARE a call. They were so amazingly helpful! I am so glad this service exists in New Brunswick. So the nurse gave me three things I can try to “unclog him”. First thing was something called a SITZ BATH with 2oz of baking soda. This apparently helps soften the tissue down there to make it easier to go. The second thing was baby Pear juice (up to 2oz a day) to help loosen things up. And the final thing was stimulation of his little bum with a flexible anal thermometer… I have to admit, the latter did not sound appealing to myself and I was sure Landon wouldn’t appreciate it either… but he was in so much pain I had to try it non the less. Thank god by that evening he had finally had a number 2!! Since then I am continuing to give him one or two ounces of pear juice daily just to keep him regular. :D So, moving away from that poopy topic lol, the next thing on my mind is the premiers of the shows this fall. Now that I’ve watched 2 episodes of ONE TREE HILL, 2 episodes of GOSSIP GIRL, and 2 hours of 90210, I can honestly say that I’m really liking what’s come out so far!! Number one on my list for premiers is Gossip Girl due to the Blaire and Chuck storyline. However, One Tree Hill’s second episode blew everyone else out of the water! (no spoilers to anyone who didn’t see it, don’t worry) Episode number 2 for 90210 is tonight. I’ll be giving it a couple of episodes before I decide if it’s right for me. So far, it certainly is interesting and definitely something I think I would enjoy watching. Next series premier I’ll be trying is Privileged, airing tonight. I’ll let you guys know what I think next time I post. Can’t wait for Supernatural! About three weeks ago I discovered that my engagement ring had a lose diamond and so I had to send it away to be repaired. Today it’s back and I’m soooo happy to have it back on my finger. Does anyone have any idea how annoying it is to be recently engaged and not have a ring to show people. Embarrassing! LOL I went back to weight watchers 3 weeks ago now. So far I’ve lost 8lbs! I’m hoping to be at my goal weight (135 lbs) by my wedding date, April 18th, 2009. I’m currently 174.2 lbs. Frigin’ baby weight! I got a lot of work ahead of me but I know I can do it. :D |

| ++ TV Returns! |
I'm getting so excited that my shows will all be returning in a little over a month!! I need a bit of normal back in my life since everything's been turned upside-down now that Landon is apart of our lives. He's so wonderful and I can't get enough of him. But it needs to be said that no matter how much you love you children you still have to make time for yourself. And what do I do for myself?? I watch a lot of fictional drama on TV! OMG! I can't even begin to tell you guys how happy I am that I bought that DVR this spring. Now I can watch TV on Landon's schedule. I've currently updated the TV SCHEDULE with all of the premier dates that I have acquired so far and have change the name of "Surviving the Filthy Rich" to it's new and more catchy title "Privileged". I'm looking forward to giving the new shows a try but am coming to realize that I may have to be pickier than usual with what will stay on the schedule as motherhood takes up A LOT of my time. | ++ My Fall Television Schedule |
I'm still crossing my fingers that the CW will pick up CBS's RUDELY dropped vampire detective series "Moonlight". If they do, the show will likely air on sunday nights. Currently, I have nothing on the schedule for sundays so I'm just hoping for the best. Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Unknown Night Filed Under: TV

| ++ He's Gonna be A Big Boy! |
I went to the prenatal clinic yesterday for my 30 Week visit. My uterus is a bit larger than average for how far along I am. So the doctor says that Landon is going to be a big boy. (I could have told him that) He also told me that he's VERY strong for how far along I am as well and I will possibly deliver before my due date. I'm happy that he's growing to be a big and healthy boy and if I get to meet him a little early under those circumstances then I think that's pretty cool. *smile* I've updated my DVD collection finally. It's been a while that I've been trying to find a good program that can keep my DVD's organized and also allow me to publish my collection online. I finally found this really great program called DVD Profiler that I'm really happy with. It allows you to enter you DVD by the bar code number so the info about the DVD is totally accurate for that specific edition. And I can upload the list online to their database in order to share my collection with others. I now have 410 DVD's in my collection. If you want to make a request for a review of a certain movie or television show, or you just want to see what I have in my collection then you can view the collection HERE. Hubby and I bought a HD-DVR yesterday for our satellite. I'm so excited! I don't really care about the High Definition channels really, HD is cool and all, and don't get me wrong I'm excited to be able to watch all my shows in HD, but I've ALWAYS wanted a Digital Video Recorder. LOL It just fascinates me how you can pause live TV and program the receiver to record all of your favorite shows. It's just so sweet! I figured with the baby coming soon I'll be making use of the pausing and recording options so it won't be a waste of money that's for sure. LOL Shows are finally coming back after that TOO Long strike. Kicking off this comeback is One Tree Hill this coming Monday followed by Gossip Girl the Monday after. Being at home all the time since I went on maternity leave I've been going crazy without any new Television shows. And the worst thing is that I'm not even joking. I broke out into a fit the other night when Hubby asked me if I wanted to watch a movie. I just freaked out and told him "I'm sick of watching Movies God Damn it! All I want to do is watch my shows!" LOL He really can't wait until my pregnancy is over. |

| ++ Review Time |
I've had the opportunity in the last couple of days to watch some movies and try my hand at a new TV series. Well, the verdict is in and it's time to post the reviews. DeadwoodI tend to be a little more picky with my television selections than my movie selections. Usually, when it comes to movies, I tend to enjoy the westerns. So, when Hubby asked me if I wanted to give Deadwood a try I figured "why not?" But after watching the first two episodes, I have to say, I'm not impressed at all and here's why: For me a show is all about the characters and their development. I can't get into a show if the characters and their storylines aren't well put together from the beginning. This is the case with Deadwood. I truly don't care about any of the characters at this point and for whatever reason, am not even intrigued enough to stick around to see if anything new is learned in the coming episodes. My rule of thumb when trying a new television show is to truly give 4 episodes a try and take it from there. I'm having a hard time bringing myself to even watch the next 2 in order to stick with my rule. I'm going to have to say guys... This one will not be joining the DVD collection. 1 STAR out of 5. AwakeThis movie stars Canadian hottie, Hayden Christensen and super sexy Jessica Alba. The previews make like the movie is about this medical phenomenon know as Anesthesia Awareness (where a person is put to sleep for surgery but his brain is completely aware of everything happening to him). Hayden's character is going under the knife for open-heart surgery and he unfortunately experiences this phenomenon. Now at this point, this movie could actually go many different ways. This Anesthesia Awareness thing is some scary shit and could easily be turned into a HORROR movie experience. But it didn't really go there at all. In fact it really wasn't anything like what the previews were depicting. Not that it was bad, it just wasn't at all what I was expecting. It ended up being more like the movie "The Invisible" than any type of horror or thriller movie I've seen. Over all, even though it wasn't what I was expecting at all I still enjoyed the story. I was just not completely thrilled with the ending. That being said. it deserves 3 and a half STARS out of 5. Into The WildThe very first time I saw Eddie Vedder's video for this movie I just knew that I was going to love the movie. And I was right. Based on the true story of Christopher McCandless' journey to find the meaning of life by abandoning his sheltered life and taking on the wilderness. Depicted as somewhat of a selfish young man, he leaves his entire life including his unconventional and overbearing (but obviously still loving) parents and a sister who worshiped the ground he walked on. The story is adventurous and intriguing. I never once felt like it was slowing down. Sean Penn did it once again with this excellent portrayal of a young man suffering form social claustrophobia in a material world and his need to break free. An amazing film! 4 and a half STARS out of 5. |
