++ Quote of the Month
"Sometimes when you're young, you think nothing can hurt you. It's like being invincible. Your whole life is ahead of you, and you have big plans. Big plans. To find your perfect match. The one that completes you. But as you get older, you realize it's not always that easy. It's not until the end of your life that you realize how the plans you made were simply plans. At the end, when you're looking back instead of forward, you want to believe that you made the most of what life gave you. You want to believe that you're leaving something good behind. You want it all to have mattered."

++ Engaged!
Holy crazy life! I just can’t seem to get the time to get on here and write an entry let alone change the layout. And I really want to change the layout bad. But I’ve decided to wait till the new season in September and add one then.

[EDIT] As you can tell I have a new layout!! My sister was so nice as to offer to creat a header for me after she read this entry. I LOVE you Lisa! [EDIT]

So, I have A LOT to talk about. First off, for those who never knew, Hubby and I were never officially married. We are what you call common-law husband and wife (The government likes to call us that so they can get the same amount of money out of us that they get from married couples). Anyways, around two weeks ago, Ryan proposed to me! Finally!! LOL I’m so excited! The wedding is in April 2009 but I’m still unsure of the actual date. I wanted to post a picture of the ring but my camera doesn’t want to focus on it like it should so it always comes out blurry. I’m going to have to get someone with a good camera to take the picture for me. So as soon as I can I will get it up on the site.

[EDIT] I got my brother to take a picture on my ring with his HARD CORE camera that he spent a lot more than $50 for. LOL. Anyways, here's my ring! [EDIT]

So...Landon has colic :( and it’s really hard to deal with. I’ve been truly drained this last week trying to deal with it and not become frustrated. Because as you know, it’s not his fault that he’s colicky but at the same time it’s soooo hard to deal with. So today is my first “day off” in 7 weeks and 3 days because Hubby’s parents took Landon for the day. We’ll be going to pick him up tonight at around 10. I really have to say, I love my son, but am I ever enjoying this day off from Mommyhood. Hubby and I have some romantic plans so I’m going to end this entry now cause we don’t get to spend much time together anymore and I really am looking forward to it.

++ Too Sick to Blog
I'm so sorry I haven't been blogging in a while. I know I put up a review relatively recently but it's been a while since I've actually blogged about my life.
So here goes...

Well, as I'm sure you've guessed by the title of this entry, I am sick with an amazingly horrible cold. And if that just wasn't bad enough, I can't take anything for it due to the pregnancy. The last 4 days have been long and so incredibly annoying. I've been living on Orange Juice, Water and this hot drink I read about on the internet that's made with lemon juice, hot water, and honey. I am allowed to take regular Tylenol but I tried one the other day and it proved to be useless. I am also allowed to uses cough drops such as Halls. I used one last night and it did help calm my coughing down for a little while but it really doesn't do much more than that. Yesterday I got on my computer and couldn't even stay on long enough to chat on MSN (that's how you know I am sick) let alone think about reading blogs or writing one. But this morning I woke up feeling a little stronger so I decided I'd give writing an entry a try.

I'd like to thank everyone who commented about the new layout. I'm really proud of it because as some of you know I've only recently (last 5 months or so) switched over to PHP format rather than HTML and since then I kinda had a brain block as to how to create any other type of layout than what I was taught php with. But after a days worth of trial and error I've finally figured it out! It means a lot to me that so many of you guys like it.

A couple of days ago Hubby picked up "Lost: Via Domus" for PS3 for me (because I went on and on for days about how fun it would be for me and that I would love it so much) and although the reviews online depicted the game mediocre at best, I am really enjoying it. I guess it all depends on what your taste in games are and I am all for the adventure games where you have to solve things and investigate things to progress.

Well that's pretty well my last 5 days in a nutshell, nothing too exciting at all. Sorry about that. Hopefully I'll have something more exciting for you guys next time.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE! xoxo

++ A New Site, A New Beginning
Welcome to SURREAL-REALITIES.NET! My new home for my blogging efforts.

I bought the domain name Sunday night and have been spending the last couple of days turning Something Wicked into what you are looking at right now.

I've made little changes as far as what content is on the site. It's the same "Amy Blog" you've come to know and love. However, I've made a special effort to focus more on my readers and promoting their sites. So now the READERS page is easily accessible and now located on my navigation bar.

Brandi and Irene are both responsible for this switchover. I had been wanting to do it for a while but their encouragement to use this opportunity as a stepping stone into the new life I will be entering in June (Motherhood), made me make my final decision on Sunday. Thanks girls for making me realize that when one chapter ends, another begins. However, I couldn't cut my ties from Something Wicked completely and I have transfered over all my previous blog entries with me. The only reason I did this really, was because I have A LOT of entries about my pregnancy posted and I really did not want to lose them. They are VERY important to me.

You may be wondering where the name Surreal Realities comes from. This oxymoron has been a part of my subconscious for over 5 years now. It's the title of a poem I wrote at age 20 about a girl being so consumed with television that the characters of the shows become her friends and her enemies and her perception of reality becomes distorted, surreal, if you will. It's one of my favorite poems and I've always been proud of the title. I'm very happy to be using it as my domain name. And also, used in a different context, it continues to depict me and where I am in life now... Soon becoming a mother and the strong feeling of "UNREAL" that goes along with coming to terms with this amazingly HUGE responsibility that is, in fact, very "REAL".

++ Radomness
I'm REALLY starting to get a little fed up with work. It's not that I don't like the people or anything, it's just that I'm just so TIRED and cranky all the time and I keep flipping out at the wrong people. I kinda would like to have my job when my maternity leave is finished so I'm crossing my fingers that these next two weeks go by smoothly and fast.

Yesterday I got called to the office by my boss (for what feels like the millionth time since I've been pregnant) about my behavior. Specifically my attitude and snapping at people. *SIGH* I swear, I do not behave this way on purpose. It's always an accident and I always apologize immediately afterwards. But the damage is done... I feel so bad. Cause I'm really not that horrible of a person and I don't want the people I work with to think I am. I'm lucky my boss really likes me and sees good in me cause she gave me another warning and didn't write me up. *phew* I've had a perfect record for the last 4 years with no write ups and I would have been really upset if I had broken that record.

2 WEEKS TO GO! I can't wait to be off work for 65 WEEKS!!! Maternity leave is gonna be a nice change of pace. And the best part is having 15 of those weeks before my due date so I have a chance to relax and get things in order for when my baby boy comes.

In other news, Lisa found out how to get our purchased domain names hosted on the same account as Undecided-fate.org, meaning that I can now go out and buy myself an actual domain name for Something Wicked. Unfortunately, "www.somethingwicked..." appears to be in use in every variation I could come up with so I may have to change the name of my bog. This is not really a big deal tho cause I've always wanted to have my own domain name for my blog so I don't mind changing it up LOL

I'll keep all of you guys up to date about that in the coming weeks.

++ Let It Snow!
I wasn't expecting a snow storm to amount to so much! We get a lot of snow in the winter months, don't get me wrong, but not usually 40cm (3.5 Ft) in one sitting. And the storm is said to continue till early this evening! Words don't describe how happy I am that Hubby and I had decided to buy a snow-blower this winter.

I took some pictures around my house of the snow. I was supposed to be working today but due to the storm my shift got canceled. So I figured why not take pictures to share with all of you? It all works out for the best anyways (my shift being canceled that is), cause I really needed to clean the house a bit, especially the kitchen, LOL I'm such a slacker!

So in light of my new obsession with Friday Night Lights (the ONLY show since Roswell that makes me feel the TV tingles) I've decided a new layout was in order. I wanted it to be brighter since my past couple of layouts have been pretty dark. This is layout version 8.0 Clear Eyes, Full Hearts, Can't Lose.

Feeling A Moment is also getting a new layout in the near future. I've seen what Lisa has come up with and I have to say it's looking really nice. We haven't re-vamped FAM in over a year and it's time to get our music video collective out there in the 21st century . Keep your eyes peeled for this one.
